Dec 14 - Swift Current - CKSW and Southwest Credit Union |
We were privileged to again be invited to sing at the Southwest Credit Union during the CKSW morning show. It is always fun working with Darwin Gooding and Jeff and this was no exception. The credit union staff were the live audience, and we were glad we didn’t know how many people were in the radio audience. We mixed the old with the new and enjoyed this time of ministry before the hectic Christmas season begins. |

December 17 – Country Church at Home |
GloryBound had never done a Christmas program at home and this year we decided it was time for something different. We were not disappointed as many from our community joined us to celebrate the birth of our Lord. A live nativity scene (complete with goats!) greeted concert goers as they entered the church. Tanice and Tyler Byers and Sherri A were our guests as they narrated and sang the beautiful songs of Christmas. The spirit of the Lord was truly present during the concert as the candles were lit and Tanice challenged us to “light our candle” wherever we live and shine in our own little corner of the world. Apple cider and Christmas baking followed and again we were blessed to hear that people had been touched by this special evening. Merry Christmas to All! |

December 1 – Biggar, Sask. |
Do we go or don’t we? I think that question was asked about one hundred times before we finally loaded the bus and headed out in the storm. It was -36 below with a wind chill, snowing and blowing. (Sometimes I just shake my head!) After praying about it, we decided to try it and if it was too bad, we would turn around and go back home. |

November 19 – Country Church at Home |
Sunday was a cold day and also the annual Grey Cup game so we wondered how many people would be in attendance for the concert. It was so hard to get warmed up before the service so I took the blanket that protects the Grand Piano in the church and wrapped up in it as we prepared for prayer. I was told I look great in bright pink! “Exodus” ( Dwayne, John, Phil, Henry and Marilyn) were our guests for the evening – and can those guys sing. We were so blessed to hear their tight harmonies and wonderful choice of songs. Bill sang his rendition of “Yingle Bells” which always gets a laugh. For those of you who missed the announcement – we are having a “Christmas in the Country” on December 17th so don’t miss it. My favorite part of the evening was when Exodus joined GloryBound on stage to sing “Amazing Grace” and “When we all get to Heaven”. What an evening! |
